Transformation

          The original image is of actress Gabrielle Union holding a remote control standing in front of an

LG television that is turned off. The picture was taken from the November 2008 issue of Metropolitan

Home magazine. I think the image is somewhat sexual in that her shoulders and arms are exposed and

her dress is above knee length. I say somewhat because despite her dress the actress stands in a

defensive stance with her arms and legs crossed even though she is smiling.


          I transformed the image by putting the actress in sweats and socks and by putting an image of a

football player on the television screen. The actress has one hand in her pocket and the other holding a

remote control. She looks relaxed and ready to watch the game. In this transformed image I am hoping

to appeal to the every day female and sports fan.
