The high school juniors at Massachusetts Art All State (at Worcester Art Museum 2 weeks ago) did an installation based on secrets just like this. The group was given only brown paper, markers, tape and toe tags and had to come up with an installation. They cut out and made sculptural forms out of the paper. Viewers were invite to write secrets on a toe tag and attach it anywhere in the space. By the time I saw the exhibit there were literally thousands of tags with an amazing outpouring of very personal information. The effect was stunning. This exhibit was created and (sadly) dis-assembled in about 24 hours.
